Who should bear marriage expenses according to the marriage law in India?

As per Indian law, there are no stipulating conditions as to who should bear expenses of marriage. It is all up to parties to decide among themselves.
In our opinion, Sharing the expenses by both families will be a good idea and should not be burdened by the way of demanding. How much to spend on the event, it’s one’s will and wishes.
