Definitely No, and It cannot be. The population ratio of Male-Female is on par with the national index. You don’t find many people indulged in fetus sex determination and termination in the Brahmin community. Though parents of recent generations are restricting children one or two, they are not much bothered about male or female.

As far as the statistics of Brides and grooms are concerned, the ratio is 1:1 in the group of   “Right Age for Marriage”  i.e between 22-27 for brides and 27-31 for grooms. There is a huge parity in education and occupation, so the community is able to find the right match for a large percentage of boys.

We foresee that a large percentage of girls will also be added to the unmarried list beyond the “Right age for Marriage” because of education, occupation, and income in subsequent days.

A huge gap between imagination and reality making issues in Brahmin Matrimony.
